Our story

A small shop for the first thousand days

Nuborn & Little started with a short list — the things our friends actually used past week six, and the things that got given away unopened. We built the shop around the first list and ignored the second.

What we stock

A tight catalogue of baby, maternity and newborn essentials — the pieces we reach for ourselves. Organic cotton and bamboo, food-safe wooden toys, glass bottles, gentle nursery goods. Most ranges sit in the $20 – $60 band, generous enough to gift and small enough to repeat.

We work directly with the makers wherever possible. The hand-knit caps come from a small Lithuanian co-op of three women. The wooden rattles are turned by a single workshop in northern Portugal. We pay on time, we visit when we can, and when a piece doesn't meet the standard, we say so and move on.

How we think about price

Most of what is sold to new parents is either marketed at the panic of week one (and then never used again) or made to a price point that becomes obvious by month three. We try to do neither. The price reflects what it costs us to source the piece honestly — fair to the maker, fair to you, and enough margin to keep the doors open without quietly cutting corners on materials.

You pay for fabric weight, finish quality, and the certifications we actually verified. We think you notice the difference, even before someone tells you why.

Where we ship from

Everything ships from our small warehouse in Austin, Texas. Orders pack within one business day and travel in recycled kraft cartons, no plastic filler, no marketing inserts. Your box arrives looking like it was packed by a person — because it was.

US shipping is free over $60 and a flat $6.50 below that. We ship internationally to most countries; the rate is calculated at checkout at exactly what it costs us, never more.
